Well, the port is in with nothing exciting to report. It was very quick and Jeff is only a little sore. Dr. Patel called us (himself) and said Jeff will start chemo on Monday. So everything is going to plan. Hopefully he will only be in the hospital Monday thru Friday.
We had a great reassuring moment when the nurse came to discharge Jeff. She asked if she could pray with us. We were comforted that receiving treatment in Amarillo is the place for Jeff to be! We never had anything close to that moment the entire year and a half at MD Anderson. I truly believe that a major part of Jeff's fight and healing will be through the support and love of all our people! Please stay close!!! I love it that God confirmed that for us today. We thought it was a good choice.
